NYPD Social Media Campaign Goes Horribly Wrong
File this one under the category of "who didn't see that coming!"
In an effort to reach out to their community and help out with their public image, the New York City Police Department tweeted out requests to their followers to post photos of themselves interacting with NYPD officers with the hashtag #myNYPD. Participants were told that some of their photos would appear on the NYPD Facebook page.
