Yes, the Internet was a very different place in 1995, so it was almost forgivable to be skeptical about the future of the world wide web. But with lines such as "the network is missing a most essential ingredient of capitalism: salespeople," and "a network chat line is a limp substitute for meeting friends over coffee," it's safe to say this Newsweek writer got his predictions about the Internet dead wrong!
