Kraft Singles Considered a "Health Food" Now?
So you’re telling me, that a square of extremely processed cheese product is considered a “health food?” I’m confused. Apparently the yellow squares were the first foods to receive the new “Kids Eat Right” label, which is a stamp of approval designed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to help families make healthier decisions in the grocery store.
Is there something fishy going on behind the scenes though? It is also said in a recent article that Kraft is a well-known sponsor of AND – which is said to be mostly a money-raising gimmick. So does this mean Kraft is paying to use the “Kids Eat Right” seal? For now the AND is defending the seal and that there was nothing weird going on. We shall see as this pans out further and I guess it’s still okay to be eating those Kraft Single grilled cheese sandwiches (not going to lie I'm kind of craving one now.)
