Graco Recalls Millions of Carseats
In the largest seat recall in American history, Graco Children’s Products is recalling a whopping 1.9 million car seats! In a recent article, the recall came after a five-month argument between Graco and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration due to sticky buckles.
The buckles can get nastied up by food and drinks which make it difficult to unlatch the kids from their seats, which increases the risk of injuries in emergencies.
Even though there has been no injuries reported because of this problem, the company said that the recall “is in the best interest of consumers and underscores our shared commitment to child."
Seats included in the recall are the SnugRide, SnugRide Classic Connect (including Classic Connect 30 and 35), SnugRide 30, SnugRide 35, SnugRide Click Connect 40, and Aprica A30. Graco will replace buckles for free and you can check to see if your seats are included in the recall by going to www.GracoBuckleRecall.com or by calling (877) 766-7470.
Yikes!
