Is Your Cute Kitty BEING STALKED???

Yes, it's true. The Internet has proven that we love cute cats. One Florida State professor might have taken our love of cats too far this time! Enter IKnowWhereYourCatLives.com, the brain child of FSU professor Owen Mundy. The website essentially serves as a worldwide database of our cats, made possible by our very own photos. Essentially, Mundy geotags the internet hashtag "#cats" from Instagram, Flickr and Twitpics, with the location information YOU have provided on those pictures, and plots the photos on a Google Map.

I'm like a "Where's Waldo" of fluff.

While Mundy insists that the website is totally safe and partially meant to be a case study of our lack of Internet privacy, the project has concerning downfalls. Most notably, when someone's 14-year-old takes a photo with her cat at home, tags it, and suddenly everyone knows where that child lives (oh, and the cat too I suppose).

For the record, several cats from mid-Michigan do appear on this website. Does yours?
