Tech at Your Fingertips? Pft! Try ON Your Finger!
Apparently having constant ability to contact just about anyone by reaching in our pockets isn’t enough for some consumers. One company has responded to the demand by making sure none of us ever have to miss another text or email, just as long as we look at our fingers.
Introducing: Ringly! For the first time, a company has released a device that alerts you via a color changing ring when you receive an important message. The creators of the device said that users can program the ring to light up when certain text messages, emails, or important calls come through. And if you can’t be bothered to look down every now and then, the ring will even vibrate for you.
Who would use this you might ask? Well, apparently a lot of people! The company said that they sold out of their pre-sale stock in about 8 hours. The ring will run you about $145, by the way. First Google Glass, now this…all of this wearable technology is making even one of our more tech savvy personalities, Matt Collins, feel like a classic curmudgeon.
